This screened funnel is built well, and is very handy to use. Nice little touches include the vent groove in the back, and the way the strainer stays attached even when not being used.

On the other hand, it doesn't filter as well as using cheesecloth or other methods. I suppose it filters "good enough" but certainly not great. That's why I chose 4 stars instead of 5. However, don't get me wrong. I use this now that I have it.

This is a nice item, but though it says LARGE, it is only 10" in diameter, not counting the handles. So, I would consider it to be more like a MEDIUM size. The holes are tiny, making it fine for thin pasta.

My wife is an avid cook and baker. She goes through colanders very frequently because she usually buys low quality plastic ones that do not stand up to her needs. I purchased this for her after reading the reviews and she loves it. The thing can even strain jasmine rice! It is amazing. My wife is in love with the colander and it won me some brownie points to!

Needing a new colander, and based on a cooking magazine review, I purchased a 3 qt. RSVP Precision Pierced Stainless Steel colander. I truly expected it to work the same as the stainless colanders I have been using for the past 40 years. Boy, was I ever wrong! This colander is so far superior at quick drainage and easy cleanup, that I not only purchased the five quart size for myself, I am going to purchase one for my daughter and for each daughter-in-law (or son), despite the cost. Pasta used to get stuck in the holes in my old colanders, making them miserable to clean. Nothing gets stuck in the holes of the RSVP colanders. A quick swiped with soapy water and they are clean. They are so easy to clean that there really is no need to put them in the diswasher. Like others, I wish that the handles were more securely attached, but so ...

This is a great strainer. The mesh is of the right size in straining out water from my washed produce. The basket is wide and deep and can hold a lot of stuff. The feet on the bottom prevents your washed food from being in contact with the sink. This is a great product. I clean it after dinner when I do the dishes every time I use it with, so cleaning is a breeze. I haven't had it long enough to see it rust.

A 5-qt colander is often just too big, and this product has proven to be more than adequate for the majority of needs for 3 people. The surface is smooth on both sides and easy to clean. I give it only 4 stars because I would have liked to see welded stainless feet, not these glued-on (steel?, aluminum?). I can use my all-stainless colander with hot cooking oil, but cannot use this one because of the feet - not a big deficiency.

On the spur of the moment I decided to order these colanders to share with the family for Christmas. I was most pleasantly surprised when notification came saying it would arrive before Christmas, as I had ordered late. ALSO much to my surprise the colanders CAME just as the notification had said. Have used them numerous times since the holiday and feel this purchase was definitely worth every penny I spend.

This is a great cooker. We already have a larger Presto pressure cooker and we needed a smaller version. This one is the perfect size. It works better than our older one because it has newer features. Of course, our older one is over 30 years old and it is still working great. So, I expect this one to be even better and serve us just as long. So far, it has exceeded my expectations.
