i bought a cheapy katana recently, not a legit forged steel katana...just one made from stainless...but nonetheless if im going to have a sword it should be sharp, right!? anyway my choices were to get the special oils and sharpening stones OR to get the accusharp...well i chose this and it REALLY does work...since my sword was more of a display it didn't already really have an edge on it, so it took a while to get it sharp,,,but now it is just as sharp as a chef's knife...if you already have a blade or an edge to what you want to cut it shouldn't take long at all to sharpen....5 stars!

Bought this knife after our old one developed a chip in the blade. After reading the reviews I decided on this one. Its a great knife for chopping and everyday cutting. It makes the prep work so much easier. I'm very happy with the performance of this knife. I would buy another one in a heartbeat.

This knife sharpener works incredibly well and is very easy to use, especially compared to a sharpening steel. Good knives are expensive, so it's well worth the very affordable sharpener to keep them in good condition.

I like this knife. I ordered two of them, one for myself and one for my sister. I also ordered the 8" chefs knife from the same maker. I like them both, even though they are light in the hand. They are very sharp and do a great job. It was a bonus that they were inexpensive as well.
The cheap plastic handles are the reason I only gave them four stars, but they are comfortable so I don't regret buying them. I would recommend these knives.

I received this set as a gift. Firstly, the set looks beautiful on the counter. Very sleek. But what i love the most is the sharpness of the knives. I don't know much about knives, all that matters to me is that they help me cut and chop with ease and these knives fit the bill! And the price is amazing! I've only been using the knives for a couple of months, i'll update my review if anything changes.

This an outstanding, affordable, easy to use knife sharpener.

I've used and been unimpressed with the knife sharpeners included in those block knife sets. They are simply awful.

This one fits in a drawer, takes only one or two passes to put a great edge on a knife, and protects your hands and fingers during use. I bought one for my son, my in-laws and my sister.

The only negative I can think of is that it takes a bit of time to understand the instructions and set it up correctly the first time. After that -- piece of cake.

This sharpener makes sharpening your Henckels knives a piece of cake. For most cases, 5-10 swipes through the ceramic sharpener is all it takes to make your knife sharp. For those times when it is necessary to re-edge the knife there is a coarser stone available. But, since it is so simple to keep the edge on frequently, re-edging shouldn't be necessary. This sharpener looks great too, and is safe for your hands. I recommend it.

What a great price for a Santoku knife. I ordered three of them and shared with friends. The blade is super sharp and cutting is effortless. The handle is nonslip, though I wish it were rounder. Still a great buy on a wonderful knife.

Great knife!!! Gave them as Christmas gifts a few years ago but one was taken and I replacd it. Everyone I gave these to absolutely love them. They ate the BEST for slicing anything including meat, vegetables and bread.

First, being a bit of a traditionalist, I much prefer a solidly crafted forged blade to a stamped one. But this knife was highly recommended by Cook's Illustrated, along with a number of other knives in this line. I was curious to see if such an inexpensive line of knives could compete with the very expensive knives which I am used to using. Since I was in the market for a boning knife I decided to order this knife to evaluate the Victorinox line.

While it will vary from person to person, I find the handle slightly uncomfortable to hold. It seems a little bulky, especially for the application. On the other hand, the blade appears to be very well suited to the task at hand, and this may be an application in which a heavier forged blade is at some disadvantage. THis is the only knife I own that can actually make carrot sticks. It has a very thing and flexible blade that is wonderful. I had my first one for 10 years and it is as sharp as the day I bought it. Great product and top of my wedding gift list for family members.

I loved the Rada sharpener. My brother-in-law gave me his and I have bought more for friends and family and all are impressed by how well and easily it sharpens.

I have just noticed a problem, however - the knife I use the most is developing a curve in the blade. Apparently a difference in pressure when pulling the knife between the wheels has worn some parts of the blade down more than other parts. Now my Caliphon 7" Santoku has a couple of humps in it.

I was actually looking for a report from someone who has solved this problem, but figured I'd pass this on to other Amazon shoppers while I was at it.

Bought three and this particular knive is my all rounder, Chicago cutlery lasts twice as long, easily than other brands, stays sharper longer and replaces my last decade of Chicago knives.
It's hard to go wrong with the price and quailty product.

This is the second time I've purchased this knife. It's not because the first was defective, but because I lost it in a drawer full of larger utensils. Well, I found it, and couldn't be happier that I now have 2! It's very reasonably priced, very sharp and sleek, and doesn't rust. I have cut tomatoes, carved pumpkins, sliced baguettes and shaped melon baskets. The blade is very thin, and bends to help create beautiful pieces if carving things. I have never had to sharpen it, and I've had my first one for almost a year. I can't say enough wonderful things about this blade.

I will buy many more products from this seller.

I was a little disappointed with this knife. I have had case knives for years and had lost my small one so was replacing it. I was pushing the blade through some semi-frozen meat (which I have done many times) and when the blade went through it bent in two places. I've never had it do that before. This blade is quite a bit thinner than my old one.

I love my Rada knives, but this one is my favorite! I use it for EVERYTHING and it has held up great. It is balanced perfectly and has a great feel. Hardy enough for many larger knife chores, but size is easy to wield for mincing, too.

This is the best vegetable peeler I have ever had. The super-sharp dual blade takes off just the right thickness of skin or peel. The other peelers I have had before were (1) a cheap-o supermarket peeler that had a pretty dull blade and that I (fortuitously?) lost, and (2) an OXO-brand peeler that I bought to replace it and that cuts too deeply ino the vegetable. This Rada peeler feels good in the hand, peels assuredly and precisely, and costs no more than the big brands. Rada also makes the peeler in a plastic-handle, machine-washable version, but I chose this version because I like the look and feel of the brushed-aluminum handle, just like the handles on all my Rada knives.

Global makes some of the finest cutlery out there. For boning knives you can't go wrong. the blade can easily bend around a corner for cleaning chucks and ribs. I work in a high end restaurant and would be lost with out it.
