I had an early salad shooter and loved it. When using the new pro version, I realized how much better it could get. Yes, the salad shooter is missing a fine grater cone, but the new version is much easier to turn on and off. Sounds strange, but the little flip switch versus a sliding switch made a world of difference to me.
I love this device and use it for cheese, vegetables and fruit.
Watch those stringy vegetables such as celery...your knive will work better on those.
Cheese is best shredded when frozen. It doesn't stick to the cone as much.
Anyone with carpal tunnel will sing the praises of this device.

I haven't used it yet but it sure looks neato! I make all my baby's food so this will hopefully cut down my peeling, coring, and slicing time. The product in the picture is featured as red but I received a green one. I like the green one better. It's kinda vintage looking. Which is always good.

I bought this for my 6+ year old daughter, because she would not eat apples unless they were pealed. My husband and I were sick of pealing them for her every day. Out of the box she was able to do it, and it works even easier than I thought it would. She even makes the apples into thin slices, and eats them that way.

I was very happy with this product. I used it as soon as I got it to make an Apple Dapple cake. It worked wonderfully and only took me about 3 minutes to peel slice and core 4 apples! I would recommend it highly!

Very happy with this slicer. I've only sliced eggs so far, but I'm sure it's great for kiwi and strawberries too. Not so sure about mushrooms, but it's pretty sturdy. I think it's as good as the Pampered Chef slicer, and you can't beat the price!

I started buying Rada cutlery at one of the big Home & Garden Shows because I was tired of cheap knives and of peelers that just didn't work. This parer is simply the best for the price - you don't need to spend a fortune on the German brands - this U.S. made knife is every bit as good at a fraction of the price.
The knife stays extremely sharp - I've nicked myself a number of times when I got too close to what I was cutting. You can keep the blade super sharp by using the Rada sharpner, so there's no need to replace this knife ever.
The only drawback, if you are into appearances, is that the handle will discolor if it is not dried after washing or if you allow it to sit in water. Also, these knives should not be put in the dishwasher if you care about appearance - the handle will get darkened and somewhat pitted.
