Curried Apple-Cranberry Chutney

2 1/2 cups
  • 2 large golden delicious apples, peeled, quartered, cored and cut into medium diced
  • 1 1/2 cups cranberries, coarsely chopped
  • 3/4 cup light brown sugar
  • 1/3 cups golden raisins
  • 1/2 medium onion, minced
  • 1 Tbs crystallized ginger
  • 1 Tbs yellow mustard seeds
  • 2 medium garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tsp zest from 1 small lemon
  • 1 tsp curry powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/8 tsp cayenne pepperr
Methods/steps

Place all ingredients into a medium saucepan. Bring to just a boil. Cover and simmer for about 30 minutes, until apples are tender and most of the liquid is gone. Stir occasionally. Cool to room temperature.

Additional Tips

You can store this in a canning jar for up to 2 weeks. Good to know if you need to prepare it in advance or if there are leftovers.
