Description If you make your own noodles spinach is easy to hide inside the drying pasta. But if you do not have time for that here is an easy butter sauce that will accomplish the same thing.

Cuisine
Difficulty
Seasonal
  • 1 stick of salted butter
  • a sprig of lemon balm
  • 1/2 cup frozen spinach
  • dried ground jalapeno to taste
  • salt to taste
  • Methods/steps
    1. Slice the butter, and process with all ingredients in a food processor until butter is smooth. The spinach will be coarsely chopped.
    2. Cook linguine according to package. Drain and toss with mix until butter has melted and spinach is incorporated through out. Ad your favorite cheese. And top with thick slices of pan seared steak.

To prepare pan seared steak, slice one KC Strip Steak into 1 inch slices. Heat a table spoon of sunflower oil in a heavy skillet. Sear the meat for 1-2 minutes on each side.

This can also be topped with roasted walnut, drizzled with honey. To give it a helpful sweet crunch.

    Additional Tips

If your children are anything like my boys, they refuse to eat spinach, or just about any vegetable for that matter. You need to get creative with your meals and hide the vegetables. Around our house we call them seasoning, and my boys eat it up.
