Cuisinart CSB-76BC SmartStick 200-Watt Immersion Hand Blender, Brushed Chrome
Average Customer Rating: 4.5
Review (rating: 4):
This is my third or fourth hand blender, my second Cuisinart immersion blender. There is one big plus over my last Cuisinart, and there's a minus to it as well.
The big plus is that it is really powerful. What a whizzer! I make smoothies in the morning, using both Metamucil and protein powders with yogurt or kefir, soy milk and/or orange juice. Sometimes I throw in a few pieces of frozen fruit like raspberries or strawberries (sliced or pieces) or blueberries. The power of this SmartStick makes the grainy-ness of the Metamucil disappear (a great thing, in my book!), and the stick doesn't blink when it tackles the frozen fruit.
The minus is that there is only one speed to this SmartStick. My last Cuisinart had two speeds, fast and slow. The slow speed was good with pureeing really hot soups, so that you wouldn't risk blowing boi...

Review (rating: 4):
I've been using the Magic Bullet every weekday for about a year. I throw in a banana, some frozen fruit (mostly strawberries), water, and some protein powder. I have not had any problems at all. I read some reviews with people having trouble -- I'm not sure what they were trying to use it for, but it works fine for me; very satisfactory.
I will give this advice -- if you're using frozen-hard fruit, you might want to let it thaw for a few minutes first.
As I say, I use my Magic Bullet for one thing -- smoothies. It's true that if you run it for more than 10-15 seconds at a time, it might start running hot, but that's more than enough time for my purposes. The little plastic nibs one usually expects to break off never did, so I'm happy and drinking a smoothie right now!

Review (rating: 5):
Have always wanted to replace an immersion blender that I had for years. This one is much better then one that was replaced. Used correctly this should last for years also. It's not a 'grinder'....it's an immersion blender. So instead of taking hot soups etc. out of the pot to blend in a conventional blender....you can just put this right into the pot and presto! So much easier than the older way. :o) Also great for smoothies, baby food, and the whisk attachment works great also. A lot of uses for the price and well made. Just rinse the blade under the tap and you're good to go!

Review (rating: 5):
I purchased this mainly for an immersion blender, but for the Thanksgiving weekend, I took it to our daughter's cabin in northern Wisconsin, where we celebrate with our family. I used the blender attachments for chopping turkey gizzards for the stuffing and then I used the whipping attachment to whip cream. The appliance worked better than I expected such a small appliance should. Lots of power and the variable speeds were great!

Review (rating: 1):
Saw a terrible review with lots of good reviews and thought maybe the author did not know how to use the "newer" slow cookers. I do and this one looked like it would be a good one. Boy was I wrong. Used it one time and it was great. The second time as I was using it, the machine stopped working. Already on its way back for refund.

Review (rating: 5):
I had never used an immersion blender before purchasing this one. I'm very happy with it even though I have only used it a few times (I've had it a few weeks), so I cannot attest to its longevity. It worked superbly for making creamed soups and mashed potatoes for Thanksgiving. It is a very handy tool and I plan to use it a lot in the future.

First Panini maker my wife and I purchased, and while it may not have the bells and whistles of more expenses ones, we are very satisfied with our purchase.
Panini's are excellent, and the Hamilton Beach one hasn't made us a bad one yet !
Oster BPST02-B Professional Series Blender, Black

Review (rating: 5):
I have owned this blender about 6 months now. I make smoothies, and diet shakes with ice. It works wonderfully. No chunks of ice, fruit. Blends very smooth. It has only 2 speeds, but you won't need any more than that. I alternate the speeds when crushing the ice in the shakes/smoothies. It is VERY powerful, so it is loud, but it isn't on that long, so don't worry about the noise, because it works very fast. I can make up to 3 shakes at a time, that is 3 cups of water and then some powder. I highly recommend this blender. You can't beat the price.
Oxo Good Grips Dough Blender with Blades

Review (rating: 5):
I bought this dough blender a year ago, after getting fed up with the time-honored tradition of blending pie crust ingredients using two knives. (I know what you're thinking: "Wow! What a rebel!") This dough blender is terrific. The blades are sturdy, and it works like a champ. The blades are close enough to do a good job cutting lumps, far enough apart that they are easily cleaned. This is a definite keeper.
