Apple and Sausage Stuffing
Ingredients
- 1 large cooking apple, peeled, cored and chopped
- 1/2 lb sausage meat or ground pork meat
- 2 tsp dried herbs (parsley, thyme, sage, lemon balm or your choice)
- salt and pepper
Methods/steps
- Place all ingredients in a bowl. Mix well.
- Use this mixture to fill the neck end of the bird.
- Alternatively, shape into balls and cook in an oven pan, in a rack under the roast, for 30-40 minutes.
Additional Tips
Use the stuffing before there is any discoloration in the apple.
