Celeriac Potato Mash

Description
A pleasant side dish with a mild taste of celery, it is very easy to prepare and nutritious.
Ingredients
- 2 medium potatoes, peeled and cut up small
- 2 cups celery root, washed and cut into chunks
- 1 cup milk
- 2 Tbs butter
- salt
- pepper
Methods/steps
- Boil - about 15 minutes - and drain or steam - about 25 minutes potatoes until tender.
- Simmer celeriac in milk until tender, about 20-30 minutes.
- Mash celeriac in the milk, which would have been very much reduced.
- Mash potatoes and mix with the mashed celeriac, beating gently over very low heat. Mix in butter, season with salt and pepper and serve.
