Chocolate Icing
Description One recipe for chocolate icing. It isn't very healthy, as it contains corn syrup, but then what icing is good for you?

  • 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
  • 16 oz bittersweet or semisweet chocolate, chopped fine
  • 1/2 cup corn syrup
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
Methods/steps

Place chocolate in a heat proof bowl. Bring cream to a boil in small saucepan over medium-high heat; pour over chocolate. Add corn syrup and let stand 3 minutes. Whisk gently until smooth; step in vanilla. Place in fridge and chill for 1-1½ hours, stirring every 15 minutes, until the mix has the consistency to be spread.
