Description
Crab cocktail is a great appetizer - food presented with the purpose of stimulating your appetite for the good things to come - because it looks delicious and is colorful, light and served cold.
Ingredients
- 1¾ cups flaked crab meat
- 2 cups shredded romaine or cos lettuce leaves
- Sauce
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1/4 cup prepared horseradish
- 2 Tbs orange juice
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp sugar
- 2 tsp prepared mustard
Methods/steps
- Process all ingredients for the sauce in the blender. Transfer to a bowl and chill until needed.
- Check the crab meat to remove any remaining bits of shell. Chill.
- To serve, arrange the shredded lettuce in seafood cocktail cups, distribute the crab meat on top and spoon some sauce over the crab, 2-3 Tbs should be enough.

Additional Tips
If you don't like it so spicy, try mayonnaise or one of its variations.
