Creamed Ground Beef on Toast

Description
Creamed beef on toast won the ground beef recipe contest.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef, browned and drained
- 1 onion diced
- 3 Tbs butter
- 3 Tbs flour
- 1/2 tsp sea salt
- 1/4 tsp ground pepper
- 2 cups whole milk
- 1/2 cup cream
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 8 slices bread toasted
Methods/steps
- Brown ground beef with diced onions until onions are transparent and beef no longer pink. Drain.
- Make a roux for cream sauce: melt butter in sauce pan, add flour, sea salt, ground pepper & onion powder. Stir well, slowly add milk & cream. Continue to stir until sauce thickens.
- Remove from burner, add ground beef with onions. Toast bread.
- Serve Creamed ground beef over toast. Great Sunday evening meal.
