Peas and Lettuce
Ingredients
- 6 outer leaves of lettuce
- 1 small shallot, sliced
- 2 tablespoons sunflower margarine
- 8 oz peas
- fresh nutmeg, grated
- salt
- ground black pepper
Methods/steps
- Wash lettuce well, and roughly shred the leaves.
- Using a sauce pan, fry the lettuce with the shallots in the margarine for 3 minutes
- Add peas and nutmeg, salt and pepper to taste. Simmer for 5 minutes, covered.
Additional Tips
You can drain this dish and serve it damp.
