Greek salad makes a delicious meal on its own or as a side dish, and not only in the summer. it is very easy.
Wash a cos lettuce, pat dry and cut it into strips. Place in a large bowl. Add cubes of Feta cheese, croutons and a creamy salad dressing. Make it more colorful with a few cherry tomatoes and black olives. Toss all ingredients so the dressing is distributed evenly.
Ready to eat!

Green lettuce leaves and lemon slice.
There are so many varieties able to grow in different types soils and weather that there is lettuce of some kind all year round. Lettuce is most used as salad or garnish, but one can create lovely appetizers or even soups.
Iceberg lettuce is probably the most popular variety because of its mild flavor.
Lettuce adds juiciness and texture to a sandwich, making it more appetizing. Roast turkey or chicken can be dry on its own but come to life with a little lettuce and mayo. Its sweeter flavor can balance harsher ingredients.
Serve kebabs over a bed of lettuce and just this simple presentation makes them more appetizing to the eye.
Lettuce that has been a little too long in the refrigerator can have a second chance as soup, as the large slightly more bitter lettuces become a tasty dish if baked in a cheese sauce, just like chicory.
